Eric Kayser, or Maison Kayser, is one of the most famous high-end bakery in France. I know it as it has branches also in Tokyo.
Evidently there are as many as 9 shops in Athens (see below). The one I went to is in Flisvos Marina.

It is a bakery with several stools. You can eat-in comfortably as it sells also coffees.
When we went, they did not have many varieties of bread, but had a wide range of cakes, pastries, and brioches. It also sells biscuits, jams, pre-packed salads, Movenpick Ice-cream. etc.

We had two cappuccinos and this sour cherry cheese cake to share.
The cappuccinos were served in paper cups and the coffee was of Illy brand. For €2 a cup, it was fine.
The cheese cake was also good. We sensed that the ingredients were of good quality and it was nothing like these Greek vegetable cream cakes.

We brought home some bread as well.
This is a raisin pastry. Probably you cannot see from this photo, but it is of a good size. For €1.50 it is a bargain. Tasted good, of course.

This is poppy seed baguette (€0.90).
To be very honest, I found it too crispy, almost too dry. I would have expected something better in Japan, but there the price would be double and it is therefore difficult to do an easy comparison.
I would be happy to go back for pastries and cakes, and would be even happier if I can have shop like this near my flat.
