Piraeus Archaeological Museum houses finds from Piraeus and its adjacent areas and from Saronic Gulf. It is a large museum with two floors and, if you are interested in archaeology and Greek art, it is well worth an excursion from Athens.

The most important exhibits are 5 bronze statues salvaged from the sea of Piraeus in 1959, the sanctuary of Cybele from Moschato, various funerary steles, gigantic funerary monument of Nikeratos and his son Polyxenos, colossal statue of Emperor Hadrian.
