Bougátsa
Custard Cream Pie

Bougátsa is sweet pie made of phyllo pastry and semolina custard. This is usually not so sweet, by Greek standard.
You can find it usually in pie shops or bakers, rather than pastry shops. There are also shops specialised in bougátsa, with a sign often showing Bougatsa of Thessaloniki (Bougatsa Thessalonikes)
If you eat it in shops, they usually give generous splinkle of powder sugar and cinnamon.

Or, they might cut it in pieces so that it becomes easier to eat.
Here we enjoyed it with Nescafé Flappé - Greek national bevarage made with Nescafé instant coffee.
