Pasta with Prawns

Garidomakaronada

Garidomakaronada is made of garides (prawns) and makaronia (pasta, especially spaghetti), often cooked with tomato sauce. It can be made with lobsters and in that case it is called astakomakaronada, lobster being astakos in Greek.

It is a very simple dish and important is the freshness of prawns. Usually it is relatively expensive dish in restaurants, depending, however, on the size of prawns.

Usually made with spaghetti, but linguini and other type of pasta can also be used.
