<Location> Elefsina (Eleusis site), Suburb of Athens, Greece
Sanctuary of Pluto (Hades), god of the Underworld, who abducted Persephone. Situated to the west of the Small Propylaia.
In the Peisistratid period (6th century BC), a shrine was built in front of the cave. The temple foundation that we can see now belong to a temple completed in 328 BC (dated know from a date inscription).
