Plakes Beach is situated on the north western side of the island and about 15 min walk away from
Vlychos Beach. It s quite far to walk from Hydra town, but during the summer season taxi boats run every 30 min (3 Euros per person) and for this reason one of the most accessible beaches of this island.
There is a organised beach establishment and one beach bed can be hired for 3 Euros per day.
The beach establishment and the restaurant (taverna) are run by this Four Seasons hotel. I heard that the Hotel is very expensive, but the taverna is affordable and offers good food, although I did not try it by myself.

Curiously the above website currently says "The mansion is built on the Vlyhos beach, south of Hydrafs port", which is not correct.
