Vlychos Beach is situated on the north west coast of the island.
It takes about half an hour to 40 min walk from Hydra town. If you don't want to walk (it is a pleasant walk, so it is worth doing it once), taxi boats will take you there for 3 Euros (in Summer 2010).
The beach bed rental fee is €3 for one, for a whole day.
It is a pebble beach and I found it difficult to walk with bear foot. Beach shoes are recommended.
Bridge that you cross to go to Vlychos Beach walking from Hydra Town. It is impressive.
