The entrance to Akrokorinth is protected by three-fold gates and this is the innermost one.
The fortification of Akrokorinthos, having been constructed/reconstracted/refurbished many times during the Middle Ages and Modern era, has very little of ancient remains. The tower on the right side - when seen from the outside - preserves relatively well the ancient construction (it looks greyish in the photo right).
