Anaxos Beach
Anaxos is a holiday village just a few kilometres from Petra. There are few people live here in winter.

In the photo above is Anaxos beach. It was shot on a windy day and that is why all the parasols were closed. The beach is long and sandy, water is clear but cold (the sea of northen Lesvos tends to be cold).

Anaxos Donkey
We found a donkey in the village (left).

The village does not have tourist attraction other than the beautiful beach, but all the conveniences including cheap and cheerful tavernas, mini-supermarkets, at least one good bakery cum patisserie and rent-a-car and bike office. However, I did not see any evident club or pub. It is a more family-oriented resort than busy and party one. Interestingly I saw many Czechs here.

Anessis Studio
This is the studio where we stayed: Anessis Studio.

It is situated in a walking distance from all the conveniences and from the beach. It is not a sort of place that has a pool or room-cleaning everyday, but for what we paid, it was quite a bargain. The family who runs this place is sponstaneously hospitable. Recommended. You can book through the
